I have BPD (emotionaly unstable, impulsive type as if the labels matter lol) aswell as other acronym diagnosis's like ptsd etc and my life has always been kind of impulsive looking back. Back then in the world of criminal shadows things were precariously balanced and much chaos still arose from my self destructive urge a need...
I got clean and successful for years with blips becoming more regular in appearing but eventually I lost materially everything and I despised myself for the person I became again..

Never minimise cutting, I spent years using it as part of my quiver of fickin terrible ways to cope with emotions I couldn't bear or control or understand.... But also never give yourself a hard time for it either, I know when release is all we crave.. Hence I have two full sleeves covering my scars and tatts most of the rest of the place too. It's days away from an anniversary for me... I was ready, really ready! And this time 2011 I cut the ultimate straight to bone both wrists.... they have a very simple goal: to hold a contest every month. Each month one or 2 submitted pieces win and at the end of the year the winners will be published in a book on amazon, the profits of the book go to a cancer research program.
Not only is this a cause worthy to support, but I think some of us may be drawn to too. This is not only because maybe you've lost someone to cancer, or know someone who has/had this dreadful disease, but because if you do that can leave a scarred mind behind. Something we as members of the scar project can all relate to.
